I come from a rural background, basically belong to the erstwhile FATA, Mohmand Agency and currently settled in district Mardan. I completed my schooling at the village and proceeded for higher learnings to Peshawar where I completed my masters in IR and Political Science. I completed my PhD in International Relations from the University of Peshawar in the year 2013 under the HEC Indigenous Scholarship Program. The title of my PhD thesis was, "Pakhtuns and the War on Terror: A Cultural Perspective". Afterwards I joined the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies at Bacha Khan University Charsadda and worked there as Assistant Professor for less than three years. I joined the Department of IR at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) as Assistant Professor in August 2016. Currently I am working at the same department with the additional responsibility of Head of the Department. My areas of interest include terrorism, erstwhile FATA, history and politics of Afghanistan, culture, and Pakhtun culture.
