Mian Kashif Safeen joined Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) as a lecturer in 2012. In the same year, he was awarded Italian Government scholarship for doctoral studies. He obtained a PhD in Physics from University of Trento, Italy in 2016. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, AWKUM. In 2017, he earned a start-up research grant project of about PKR 0.492 million from the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. He developed a functional material Lab in the Department of Physics where student carry out their research. He conducts research in nanomaterials growth using physical vapor deposition techniques and solution based processes, their physical and chemical characterizations for energy application, in-situ plasma diagnostics and laser induced breakdown spectroscopy. Dr. Safeen has published 16 articles in International Impact Factor Journals with an accumulative Impact Factor of above 29.
